Aimee is an osteopath trained in New Zealand, graduating with her Masters in 2013. She has worked around the North Island, as well as here in Whangārei, before settling on the south side of town with her four children.
With children of her own, Aimee has a real soft spot for treating younger patients and is experienced in working with children of all ages. She also particularly enjoys treating headaches and neck complaints – though as a fully trained osteopath, she’s well equipped to assess and treat the whole body.
Aimee prides herself on understanding how the body works as a whole, and how everything is connected when injury or dysfunction occurs. She uses a wide range of techniques tailored to each person, favouring gentle, hands-on approaches rather than manipulation or clicking.
She believes osteopaths work from a philosophy that sets them apart from other manual therapists – treating the person, not just the condition they walk in with. As bio-mechanical experts, osteopaths can pick up on subtle patterns that stop the body from working as well as it could. Aimee loves removing the barriers that get in the way of a comfortable life, and while she enjoys getting to know her patients, her goal is always to get them better as quickly as possible. And if she’s not the right fit for what you need, she’ll always point you in the right direction – because at the end of the day, getting you better is what matters most.
